My Postpartum Doula services are designed to be as unique as your family, offering emotional support, practical help, and expert guidance.
What I offer
Feeding support
Whether you choose to breastfeed, bottle-feed, or a combination of both, I’m here to support you. I’ll help you establish a feeding plan that works for you and your baby, providing guidance on breastfeeding techniques, bottle feeding, and even pumping.
Emotional support
The transition into parenthood can be emotional and challenging. I offer a supportive, non-judgmental space to discuss your feelings and provide encouragement. Whether you need a quick check-in or a more in-depth conversation, I’m here to listen and guide you during this transformative time.
Registry & product guidance
Navigating baby products and registries can be overwhelming. With personalized advice on what’s essential and what’s not, I’ll help you make informed decisions that best suit your family’s needs.
Overnight care
The first few weeks after your baby arrives can be exhausting. My overnight care service helps you rest while ensuring your baby is well cared for, assisting with feedings, diaper changes, and soothing them back to sleep. We’ll also review the day’s events and address any questions or concerns, and make a plan for tomorrow
Light household tasks
You have enough to focus on, so let me handle some of the smaller tasks around the house. I can assist with washing bottles, tidying up, and baby laundry, giving you more time to bond with your little one and adjust to your new routine
Prenatal visit
Before your baby arrives, I offer a one-on-one prenatal visit to discuss your postpartum care plan. We’ll go over any questions or concerns, talk about your feeding preferences, and make a plan tailored specifically to your needs.
Timeline
Consultation
You’ll reach out, then we’ll schedule a meeting either virtually or in person, if you need, and figure out if we’re a good match, identify your wants and needs, and talk details
Planning together
We decided to work together. Amazing! Now is when we’ll go over our contract, I’ll send you a form to get to know you better, and we’ll start talking baby products and going through any more in-depth questions you may have, and schedule a prenatal meeting
Prenatal
As we get close to your due time, we’ll have an in-your-home prenatal meeting to come up with a good initial bassinet set-up, go over what to expect in hospital/birthing center/first few days, talk supplies, emotions, baby wearing, diapering, swaddling and tips & tricks. If breastfeeding, we’ll talk breastfeeding basics, about the first 24 hours and set up your pump. If bottle/formula feeding, we’ll talk in depth about pace, how much to feed and when, bottle cleaning and storage.
On-call for birth
It’s finally here! You’ll keep me in the loop as labor and things start, when baby is born, and how things are going. I will be available for texts and calls to support you during this time frame, and we will be making a plan for when I’ll come to you next, whether that’s in-hospital or in-home!
First night home
Usually folks want me to come support them for their first night home. It can be daunting to leave the hospital and not have anyone around to look to for guidance on when to wake the baby, feed the baby, or even when a good time is for you to nap or eat! The first night – first few, honestly – come with a lot of questions, so I can meet you where you are and help you keep peace of mind, get sleep, and create a plan and routine. You won’t be alone!
First week home and beyond
Everyone’s situation looks different, and we won’t really know what you’ll need most until we get here. We’ll figure out a schedule and a time frame that works for everyone, and I’ll stay flexible as your needs and baby’s needs change and evolve. Usually we wrap up once baby is sleeping more reliably, and you feel empowered to move forward on your own! That’s my goal from day one.
